That may be. But i (in my super short two years driving) have never rolled into a shipper or receiver that did not have a "No Weapons" rule. Some of the signs say "No Weapons. According to State Law"
Mikeeee
Ok I have another Question

Unless the sign has a specific code for the law on it then it is a phoney sign meant to intimidate someone. It is private property rights none the less just not a violation of any law.

But I do not have the specific law code on the sign then it is legal to kill?
Mikeeeemje Thanks this. -
That is just silly. It is illegal to commit murder anywhere, however in some states and municipalities out is legal to carry a firearm unless otherwise stated by state law. A private business can ban firearms on their property, but in order to have the rule of law behind that ban there has to be signs posted with the specific law backing up the ban. Otherwise it is not illegal. Just a breaking of the rules not the breaking of a law.

no but you must know state to state rules not to mention co rules and policies.
mje Thanks this. -
Just because a specific statute is not cited on the sign does not rescind the law.

I will move on from this. Next time you are at a government building take a moment to review their no firearms sign and compare it to a sign on a private business. The government building sign will have a specific statute code that backs up the wording on the sign. Just like if you get a ticket in a motor vehicle. There is a statute for the infraction. It doesn't just say you were not wearing your seatbelt. Good night all and God bless. Be safe

The sign is not the law. The law is the law...

Very simple answer here......you abide by the laws in the jurisdiction you are in. So, BFE, Tx. has a law on the books saying no CCW allowed, so, you are in violation, IF CAUGHT, right ? Then you wander down the highway into the next county which has no restriction on CCW, so you're good to go. I use to carry years ago, but I would have not wanted to get caught in N.Y. carrying.
mje and cgonzales/510 Thank this. -
The entire idea of "concealed carry " is just what it says......Lots of states are reciprocal with others on their CC laws , some however are not. The right to have or carry a weapon IS guaranteed , but each state and municipality still retains the the right to restrict it. I carried my entire career,(still do) thinking that I would rather be judged by 12 than to be carried by 6....just didn't advertise it. To the OP......your choice.... do as YOU see fit.
