Frankly we may not know all the details, every story had 3 sides. Yours, his and the truth.
Have him seek out a REAL law firm about leasing deals, contracts and such.
Either that, or in the future, never borrow money from a guy on a street corner. They tend to break legs and arms for non payment's. I'd say he got away lucky with his life....this time....

He was a company driver. Not lease or o/o

It is highly possible that it could be his company is going belly up (bankruptcy perhaps). He really needs to get a lawyer at this time. None of us here are lawyers and may not as a result KNOW enough of anything else to tell you.
Some will say go to the state labor dept, BS, they do not handle this stuff.
If his company lost the truck due to repo'ing, they are in dire straits, and he and others will not get paid. A lawyer should be able to protect his rights to recover any monies. -
A report to the State and Federal tax folks will get a ball rolling as well. If the employees aren't getting paid, most likely the taxes (including SSN and Medicare) aren't getting paid as well. Get the State and the Feds involved, also gets the rights and monies due to the employees made public and some legal beagle will jump to get the class action suit started.

In Georgia,
take it to small claims court.
You'll most likely never see a penny of it.......Vilhiem Thanks this. -
You can sue anybody...they don't have to have the money to pay you...they can owe you forever. LESSON - who would drive 3 weeks straight with no pay, when there are 100s of companies that pay weekly - that beg you to work for them with every trick in the book?

Good Luck.
