Write down all your accounts with addresses and due dates. If you do it the old fashioned way, you can send them in without the statement when they're due. I did it like that for years. Your cancelled check is your receipt. Or, the stub from a money order.

You can usually work with them and change the time they are due. Call them up and find out. Thats what I did, before I got a laptop. My wife isn't resposible enough to pay them ontime, eventhough she doesnt work...:biggrin_25526:

A bad credit rating can come back and prevent you from getting a dream job. I don't agree with companies checking credit since just about all new newlyweds go into debt and may have a couple of blemishes here and there. To me it does not paint a picture of ones ability to drive or if that person will be a good employee. Unless it's a very bad report from start to finish. I just hope that the judging people will take that into consideration but I'm afraid that if you had two applicants with the same history and one had a late payment 5 years ago they would use that to make their decision.

You can buy a used laptop off ebay for less than $200 dollars. Woot.com and gottadeal.com and dealnews.com have plenty of refubushed (used) laptops and netbook computers for $300 or less. You can even get a Virgin Mobile or Straight Talk cellphone that MAY allows you to access the internet in such a way to do your banking online.

Most online banking can pay any bill to any person or company, even if they have to print a check and mail it to someone.

You will either need some sort of computer/phone to pay bills onoine yourself or you will need someone you trust in a fixed location to pay bills for you. That is one part of being on the road. Personally, I would buy a used laptop and pay bills myself.

I pay all my bills with my cell phone. My bank has bill pay so I know when new bills come in and I can pay right from cell phone. All the major banks have online bill pay and cell phone apps. :)

You can pay your rent online too, if your landlord approves of it, firsthand.

Using Paypal or an Online bill-pay service should work just fine, for rental payments, to any individual or company.
