OK, so what's your solution, then?

the only thing that scares me about trump is he might turn to the left it might just a general distrust of people from new York . I really think the country would have went down hill with Hillary she would have opened the flood gates at the border. if you think things are not different now then before . the other day I passed a bull hauler in Kansas and I was only going 70 .... that just ain't right ..... for you younger guys a bull hauler is one of those guys that got the elog exemption because they couldn't afford one because they spent all there money on chrome and chicken lights

What changed? You did. 30 years ago you old timers wouldn’t sit and watch someone lose a hood. Now you just sit and shake your head and talk to yourself on the cb instead of helping. You’re exactly what you rail against man.
Not one time have I sat in my truck and watched someone in a bad situation and let it get worse. Not once. I have woken up out of a dead sleep to spot someone. I pull over when someone’s broke down in a bad spot and doesn’t respond on the cb.
Pretty much everything you say new drivers don’t do, I actually have done since the day I started driving. #### sure wasn’t taught to me by some old hand at the lunch counter telling me about how he runs 80 empty and barefoot through Wyoming at 85mph and he’s never been blown over or rubbed a trailer at a distribution center. I do it because I’m a decent human being. And by the way, I still talk to all the people I went to cdl school with. I know for a fact that they are the same as me in this regard. They keep their cb on, they stop and help people and they help people avoid accidents backing. We all got our cdl in October 2016. Of 24 people in the class, 22 got their cdl. 22 still have their cdl. 18 of them still drive. Of those 18, I’d say probably 12-15 keep their cb on at all times. They chain their tires. And they aren’t seat warmers.
If I was falling asleep driving, I could call any one of them and they would wake up and talk to me until I can get parked somewhere safely. I know this because we all do it for each other. And I’d do it for any of you.
So when you wonder why folks get defensive, that’s why. It’s because the vast majority of us are out here trying to make a living and take care of the family that we just want to make it safely home to see. We don’t need to hear how we are less than you because you’ve backed up more miles than I’ve driven forward. At the end of the day, you still do exactly the same job that these idiot kids do from the first day they go out with a trainer. They take all the same risks that you do and I can guarantee you that not a single ####ing one of them wakes up determined to have an accident or kill them selves/someone else that day.
I’m a libertarian. I can guarantee you that I hate regulations more than pretty much anyone on the planet. And miss me with that blaming new drivers for the hours of service ####. Every regulation I now endure is because of those who came before me. Period. I swear if I had a dollar for every baby boomer who told me millennials weren’t worth a ####, I could afford a house in the economy you old timers destroyed.otterinthewater, Odin's Rabid Dog, Slim51 and 4 others Thank this.
