I've been away too long to know the specifics, but the flatbed division was paid more than the vans and did get more miles. The rest you'll have to get from somebody more current.

I Dont work for Swift, but they do credit you back while you are paying back your tuition. I explained it pretty clear, all you have to do is read their policy.
-
Credit meaning what? I don't know? Meaning they will give it back in a lump sum or give it back in payments through months 13-26?
-
Why would anyone run flatbed for that kind of money? Actually why would you run any load for that? Serious?
-
Because a new driver has to start somewhere.

I agree its tough to get started but there are better choices. God to see back in the truck DD.

They deduct $75 a week from your paycheck the first year. They are also adding $37.50 a week as a reimbursement (credit) . I guess they do this as an incentive, idk. But after 1 yr you have paid back the $4400 . During your first year, they have also (credited) you back $2200. If you stay the next year, they will continue crediting you back another $2200 ($37.50 a week) therefor making your tuition free. If you are just starting a career and dont have an extra $5000 laying around, its not a bad deal for a starter company. I paid cash for my local college so im not obligated to anyone, but thats me. I think Swift gets a bad rap , primarily cause there such a huge company (its a numbers thing) check out youtube winter driving accidents (pileup) on i80 and i didnt notice any swift trucks involved. There were some O/O that were though . I would never team as a trainee either, as many companies do, so its all about choices.MsJamie Thanks this.
