I've pulled van, flat and now tanker. I doubt I'll ever pull anything but a tank again. I'm also a OTR driver and have been pretty much my whole career. Plenty of tank companies do long haul.

Suits? are you talking about acid suit? In ten years @Miller Transporters i wore one once and that was in training, Fuel haulers might have to wear nomex at certain racks,

My buddy and I have 8 months tractor trailer exp and want to go run team tankers for schneider. We have no bulk exp and thats why we chose schneider because they train. But, we live in AR and schneider says we have to live within 100 miles of the job posting. Only postings in AR is dry van. Any advice? any other companies that train for tankers? I want to get a full year tanker exp and go haul crude oil is why tanker exp is so important to me.

Trimac does take a few students but they have to go to a certain school and the interview process is long. I'm starting Trimac tommorow, it took me over a month to get the offer and I'm experienced. So it just depends on the individual.

Leaving Big Orange huh. What is the pay package like at Trimac? Latest Schneider adds are claiming 81K for tanker drivers. You aren't taking a pay cut are you?

    scythe08 and GearWarrant Thank this.

Chemicals and foodgrade move OTR in tankers. Chemicals pay better.

Yeah, I plan on doing a comparison thread but not for a while, need to get some experience over there. I guess I would have to hear the ad because 80k is not possible in my opinion. With my training pay It should be a wash on pay.

Looking forward to it. I hear those adds every day on Dave Nemos show on XM. The text reads "we just raised OO pay 10000. Now we are doing the same thing for company drivers in bulk. Our new package raises driver pay over 4,000 per year up to 81k."

Makes you wonder if there is 1 guy they give perfect loads to who runs his ### off who makes that.
