Just a heads up if you aren't a frequent flyer through Oklahoma.

They removed all toll booths now. So you can no longer pay cash if you don't have a pikepass. They bill you by mail.

Sounds ok until you get the bill... They charge DOUBLE per toll... LOL. I could see a couple dollar service fee but, charging $44 for a toll that's $22 is absolute robbery.

So Joplin to OKC back to Joplin cost $176.12. :biggrin_25513:

Well, then the best option is get a PikePass, or travel an alternative route. Believe me, I detest tolls as much as the next person.

If they’re gonna eventually charge tolls to run down every major highway in this country, then maybe the fuel taxes need to go away

I’m not saying it’s a good idea but a couple old license plates that belong to sworn enemies or just random ### hats always work for me

Kansas is the same. You need to get an Elite pass or you pay double.

Wait until the old roads get congested with big rigs, then they’ll put weight limits on them to try forcing us to run the toll roads. Guess what - freight charges are going to have to increase also, to offset set our cost. Won’t be long until a loaf of bread will be $10.00. Quick question, why has everything almost doubled since Covid but the freight rates?

If you are being serious with your last question then you really haven’t been paying attention. Why would rates go up when there are way too many trucks in the market competing for too few loads?

Best Pass is a must if you run any toll roads in my eyes.
