Yes. Tanker, too, since we haul bulk hazmat.

    Short week this week.

Took Thursday off to take care of some personal business. No miles.

Friday--Meet/Turn to Nashville, TN. While I was hooking my lead trailer, the pipe that connects one side of the landing gear to the other snapped! It was so corroded that a little bit of weight on the trailer plus me reefin' on it to get it to turn snapped it. Luckily I was able to raise it enough with the help of the mechanic to get it to the shop and get it replaced, but it ate an hour of my time waiting on the repair. 578 miles.

    Saturday--St. Louis. 510 Miles.

Sunday--Double meet/turn to Memphis, IN. 400 miles total.

Monday--Meet/turn to Morristown, OH. 572 miles since I had to take the Outerbelt in Columbus due to hazmat cargo.

Cello I appreciate this thread. I hope they will hire me at my age. I need to work until I am 70!

You're about the average age of the industry and our company drivers - I don't see a problem!

Hear you there! I'm sure people think I'm a recruiter for them.

Nice to see things are going well for you lately - daily revenue is still on the uptick so the busy season just got into the mad busy season. If it weren't for the elogs they'd run us to death!

Oh yes, things are still going well. So well, in fact, that I haven't had a chance to sit down and update the thread!

Last week was one of my busiest weeks yet. 3 turns to the meet point in Nashville, two of those turns stopping in Louisville on the way home. Then I went to Rock Island, IL. 614 miles round trip. Finished out the week to St. Louis.

So I worked some long hours this week, but I'll have a beaucoup paycheck tomorrow!

If you have a decent driving record, and can handle the LTL hours, they'll hire you. The company is growing so fast, they can't keep the seats filled.
