My son went through the same training. Good luck!
-
Thanks
Was it worth it for him. -
I just did the application on their website.
I've been sitting in one place for 2 entire days waiting on a 400 mile weekend load and was bored so I finally applied.
If I get hired I'll be sure to let my company know why and it was 100% their own doing.
Gearjammin' Penguin and Lonesome Thank this. -
Yeah he loves it. He started here at 18yrs old on the dock and then went on to the spotter truck. He's now 23 and runs in the city.

Great to hear that

Congrats on your offer! I just applied to their location in Rialto CA (RTO) for the student program. I’ve been with fedex freight for 2.5 years working the dock and doing some yard hostling. Now I have class A permit with all endorsements + cleared by TSA for hazmat and valid dot exam all obtained about 2 months ago do you guys think I have a shot of getting on with them? (Sorry to hijack your post for my own question)
TequilaSunrise Thanks this. -
Absolutely you do good luck
-
I heard they’re hiring a lot of drivers at that location and a good amount of drivers for that program also so yes you have a good chance. Just gotta prepare to do dock work until here and there untill the year is up I believe (don’t quote me) on it.

Cool thanks for the reply, I’m currently on the dock so I don’t mind I kind of like working it too full time driving would be the ultimate goal though but I don’t mind jumping on a forklift whenever it’s called upon. It’s nice to hear that they’re looking for a good amount of drivers also, I’ll keep my fingers crossed hopefully someone calls me lol
