I'll tell you what really costs a company money, it's hiring unexperienced and then soon into their CDL school and then off the trainers truck drivers who tear up equipment. Lots of ands in that sentence, I know! As part of my fitness and health routine I always walk the "yard" when I get a chance, pick your company. I'm constantly amazed by all of the damaged trailers, burned up tractors, wrecks and orange tagged junk. So in the hiring world it is a real Hobsons choice. You hire me and I won't destroy your equipment and I keep my record clean as well, even though I'll be making plans to quit as soon as I get hired, or just hire someone who doesn't really have it all together and hope they take a liking to the job and diversify your work force.
I'll tell you one thing though, I would have kept going back to Knight forever, but someone over there, and it's not the operations people, has a problem with it or my way of quitting after 3 or 4 months. It would have been much better if they approached me and offered to "keep me on the rolls", for 60 days, I go "home" and then come back on day 60 to resume driving....as if I had never left.
I have to wonder if the Knight brothers really know what is going on in the recruiting dept?

I suspect they do. I do not remember but didn't you say that you basically just left a load in their yard one time and just left. My apologies if I'm wrong

That was the very first time I quit with them. They put NEFR on my DAC, but ended up hiring me 4 times after that anyway.
When you need drivers and everyone is on prohibited medicine because they have mental issues or cannot pass the urine and hair test, amazingly I looked good to them. You see, with all this wokeness going on, legalization of the wacky weed, fentanyl abuse and a population lacking a work ethic. and I have no doubt that I'll drive for Knight again........................................................in my dreams of course, if any decision maker from Knight is out there and wants to hire me they can call over to the reefer division and ask for Ronnie C, he knows my deal and was my great DM.
The way I see it, they have thousands in hotel bills spent on me, in the past. So (hold your laughter), it would make sense to hire me back ASAP. -

Ooo...I knew! Mainly cause..well, he has mentioned it in several threads.
I should get like a golden taco award or something.
That's all I got, as I'm not a insurance expert.
Can I still have my golden taco award?
