Start making phone calls!! It only takes finding the right place.

Are you wanting to drive again at 82 out of necessity or just wanting to get out on the road for a few adventures? Try driveaway type work. Work when you want, at your own pace make a few bucks. At 82 you might not want the daily grind of OTR.

Not out of necessity. I really enjoyed my driving experience. Before I went off the road I could not find a decent job or they would not hire me because of age. Ii would even take a part time job. Hauling rv's is not for me. You have to provide the truck. Most of the ads for drivers are only for immigrants
I do realize that the industry has gone downhill. Sometimes there are owner operators that want to take a month or 2 off. -
Start sending resume out….age and experience more valuable than what’s available in the current workforce. You likely want to pull a van so you know where to apply in your area.
I hauled gravel years ago, some of the driver were retirees, they were attracted to the seasonal work aspect.OldeSkool Thanks this. -
Just do it. I started 3 yrs ago and I'm 67. I've seen some guys that can barely walk, crawling out of their trucks.
