I think you’re missing the point, drive for someone or get a job driving, the truck is junk because it sat for too long of a time to be road ready, nothing sucks more than getting it ready, taking off under load and the sitting on the side of the road an hour later waiting for a tow truck.

Are you "moving" your "stuff" in a Semi Trailer that you own? Is that why you are looking for a cheap POS tractor to pull it with? Not trying to be an a-ho-le, just trying to figure out your motive.

I think it would help if you could explain exactly what you're trying to do.

Are you trying to move a few pieces of your own equipment to a different property?

It's hard to tell what you can get away with because we don't know what you're trying to do.

If the difference between paying $3500 for the truck and just getting the truck free is the difference between taking the deal or not you are in the wrong business. $3500 ain’t going to make or brake you. What comes after the purchase is what will make matter.

Buy it! Sure it might be a money pit but don’t you want to know how deep. Might swim miles trouble free, or not.

I doubt that thing would come close to passing a DOT inspection. As mentioned before, maybe for farm use.

Also.........".Long story short House flooded lost everything having to start over very little money left"

I don't really think the OP need a money pit at this point in his life!

Yeah definitely don’t need a money pit right now.

Looking to haul lowboy to move my excavator around I need to haul off some of my dump trucks lotta my cattle stuff building materials.

Trying to buy 20 foot Connex boxes to load everything up on

Eventually when I found a place to live I’ll start my company up again and start hauling the excavator to job site

I’m trying to sell some of my guns now and stuff that I’m not needing right now but a lot of it got completely trashed or washed away.

what would be the lowest you think I could get a running truck to haul a lowboy for trips with in 100 miles
