I inherited an old farm truck, an international loadstar 1800 6x4. I don’t know much of anything about it, other than it’s a v-8 gas engine of the early 70s I believe. It’s missing the mechanical fuel pump, but I’d like to substitute an electric pump. Parts are difficult to find on the internet for this thing, so does anybody know if a block off plate from an old Ford or something will fit just the same?

I made a plate to block off fuel pump, piece of tin with a paper gasket, it’s just a cover to keep debris out
Eliminate mechanical pump if you can’t find parts
Buy a a Carter electric fuel pump and mount near the fuel tank. Heck I even have electric fuel pump on garden tractor as parts were not readily available
