That will be old US66 between Oklahoma City and Tulsa.
BostonTanker Thanks this. -
Pretty much any Business Loop 40 between Barstow and Oklahoma City is old US66.
-
Ya I was just reading that. Still pretty cool. Especially given the state of the Interstate Highway today
-
There's one restriction and that's in Wellington ok. At the business loop. Grr
-
It's a load restricted bridge. Just stay on OK66. You'll be on the old highway for the most part.
-
Awesome. Thank you. Figure I may as well get something for my trouble of bypassing the toll road lol
-
Plus I'll be empty on my way to Jenks

Between 35 and Sapulpa, any stretch of road with no paved shoulder is original Rt. 66. If it has a paved shoulder, it's a new easement. However much of the original road is still there and you can see it under the weeds.
The Lincoln Motel in Chandler is a still operating old school motor inn where each room was a separate cottage. It's on the National List of Historic Places. Been there since 1939.BostonTanker Thanks this.
