I'd get my own numbers if I were you. All those lease companies will just rip you off and after all their ridiculous deductions you could easily pay for your own insurance policy.

Guess I missed the memo about what can and can’t haul cattle, cuz it seemed like I hauled quite a few during the time I owned this one. Seemed to handle doing turns out of Cali for a few years. My only complaint would be the small bunk got a little cramped when the Deseret cattle started moving and I was doing 2 a week out of Florida for 9 weeks straight.

 

I would hope it's better north of the border.. I have no love for the hog haulers here .. they'll haul a load cattle for fuel money just to get back for another load of hogs
I haven't had a hog friendly trailer for the last 25 years .. and there a good reason for it

Landstar has to have ELD....has to be wired for an ELD. Bennett doesnt require ELD but, they do require a driving camera...is it called Samsara or something like that. Get your own numbers...youll be glad you did.

 

If you want to pull flatbed out of northwest indiana I can hook you up.

 

The places I load at will simply not let you on their yard if the trailer isn't clean, I mean clean not just washed out. There's even a spot on the manifest asking where and when it was disinfected.

 

I probably should of been more clear in my 1st post .. I have nothing against a Bonafied hog hauler .. 2 of my good friends are hog haulers .. buts that's all they haul and the biosecurity is intense..
But there's a bunch of what we call gypsies that haul hogs out of the south up to my home state then haul either fats or feeders back down south for literally next to nothing.. .. their easy to spot cause the run beat up curb sniffers most pull close tandem trailers .. they remind me of the foreign white Volvo door swingers based out of the Chicago area .. that everybody complains about on here

 

That's funny. Back in 06-07 they were hauling hogs out of Iowa to West Tn. & cutting our rates to NC with kill cows to load feeders back to Iowa & Neb or loading out of the barn here to Garden City.

 

I saw a Crapcadia pulling a bull wagon with closed tandems not too long ago and it didn't look right at all.
