Atta boy, you got chutzpah, and that , my friend, will get you in,,however, one minor problem, the last O/O just left for the coast. I've walked into trucking firms, saying a similar thing, "I'm a natural born lever puller, and you'd be stupid NOT to hire me",,I don't recommend that today, but I say, go into these places. I have a feeling you, especially from Texas:thumbup:, have no trouble looking someone in the eye and say, I'm your man. It will make you stand out above the rest, and a refreshing turnaround from the folks with criminal records with no other choices. Please be careful with cows,,,

Do you have any experience with cattle outside of trucking?

Good first post for a guy looking to learn.

OP, edit your title and add "learn bull hauling Ennis TX" or something along those lines, so it picks up more views.

I am a very honest person so here it goes…. When I was a child we had horses. Never have had a chance to work with cattle, however I feel as if I would pick it up quickly. it’s just a dying breed that I’d like to be a part of! Going to work at the cattle barn tomorrow for free if they will let me. I’m gonna get there!!

Deere hunter and Oxbow Thank this.

No sir, none with cattle. I am a quick learner and I’m pretty positive. I’m gonna try and see if they will let me work at the cattle barn tomorrow for free!! I’m 55, been driving 35 years and would like to go out in 15 years with a dying breed!! Just 1 chance!!?

    Oxbow Thanks this.

Well good luck to you, I feel confident in saying O/O will treat you better, more honestly, and with more respect than the vast majority of big trucking firms.
TEXAS is tough though, just not a lot of cattle freight there.
Used to be lots of steers and, uh, something else, I can't remember right now....Anyway I think they got rid of the steers.
