I have a 14613. It had the "newer" style knob with the interlock. Now I don't have the shift knob interlock, but I guess there is one in the transmission. It is in the right split even if the button is OD.

IIRC, everything after the 125xx have the interlock logic on the tranny.

My ‘72 White that never left the TXI concrete quarry was like that. It never went above 10 mph. 4.88 rears. After the mechanics figured out why the drivers kept blowing out the driveline they disconnected and capped off the air lines so high range could never be used and they could split the low range.

I just added a high low valve. I had to split the red supply line and run one to the knob and one to the valve.

That’s the way I’d like to set up my 15 O.D. . I’m guessing it’d work? Range on the side of the knob and deep reduction is the add on button? Of coarse my knob would have to be for a 10 speed and they do make them. Looks like you got a 13.

It’s an 18. Range is the up down and splitter is the side.

Gotcha. The original shifter(9 speed) labeling just isn’t as you’re using it. Button on the side was originally the range but now you’re using to split. So, back to my original post. It can be done but not with an old style 13 speed knob. Has to be an old 9, with add on button. Thanks, man.

I’m gonna get around and do my 15 like that. Get an old style 10 knob, use the side for either deep reduction and an add on button for range. Guess I could do it vice versa, as well.
