Old timers, was it really better before technology?

    I drove several L9000s and they had both 9 and 10spds.

    We had a 93 L9000 at EZ with a N14 / 9 spd, no powerhouse for sure. Had a L8000 with the Brazilian ford diesel / 8LL, talk about dog…..!

    The company I ran for was all L9000s from 75-79 model yrs all had the big cam 350s I believe with 9- 10 spd

    I still run a Big Cam Cummins today in my 1995 W900L Glider. Original engine put in it by the original owner ( Sheppard Gear) was a 1981 BC 350.

    The engine in it now was originally a 1986 BC4 CPL 0749 315 horse, I rebuilt it to a CPL 625 400 horse with a few modifications as well as converting it to high flow cooling….
