old turner mics question.

I have several M+2U's and RK 60's and 70's and have found that none of these old Mic's work very well with the New'er Radios...

Partly due to age of the Mic elements, and partly because the electronics in the Radios just are not the same...Now you may have better luck with one of these 30 year old Mics on a old 30 year old radio tho...

One other thing...The old Mics your talking about are all Power Mic's, where the RK 56 is just a Noise Canceling Mic (not a power Mic) They also all used 7v battery's which are hard to find now, but 12v garage door remote battery's make a good replacement, but you may need to bend the battery prongs in the Mic, to hold the 12v battery...There is also a 6v Camera battery that will work too, but cost a bit more than the 12v garage door remote battery's...

If you already have these old Mic's. I guess it wont hurt to try them out...But I would not go out and buy one off eBay and pay a arm and leg for the thing because chances are your going to be disappointed...
