I think some of these drivers need an on board scale for the drivers seat.
Jfaulk99 Thanks this. -
So they know how much to reduce their cargo by to reduce chances of an overload.

Bothered by air gauges?

All the guess work is done for you by the suspension manufacturer.
30,000# suspension
25,000# suspension
23,000# suspension
I'll sell you a $10 gauge and this sticker for $3,000.
SHC Thanks this. -
Yeah and some sort of automatic backside washing seat would be great too since obviously free showers aint much incentive for some folks.

I figured this problem out years ago. I started carrying around 114 bathroom scales each with a 300lb capacity. It takes a while to set them up, but it hasnt let me down so far.

Most people would pay for a scale in a few months when saving the pub CAT scale fees and Out of route miles but that isn't enough insentive it seems. Also a single overweight ticket in most places would also pay for it but its always that Pay now vs pay later mentallity which is ok I understand it.
I've spoke with people that have had our scales for over 6 years now and still working fine. Which means if it can pay for itself after only a few months then that guys been making some cash on our scales for a while. Of course I bet there is minor repairs. Maybe a sensor goes out. Maybe some new air lines. Afterall it is equipped under the truck and gets nailed with mud, gunk, and anything else that can get kicked up.
We don't do a guarantee because there are too many variables that we don't/can't account for. If you slack on maintaining your truck, specifically your high control valves then your scale will be off. If you install the system wrong it will be off. If you don't calibrate it correctly you'll be off. If one of your buddies borrows your truck(not sure how often this happens but) and messes with the settings you'll be off.
We say you can be accurate from 300lbs or less. Which we have so many customers that say its dead on accurate but really there are things that go into it that are out of our control. -
I could have 7 deliveries and a pickup done before you OTR boys can waddle your way in to the Peelot to get your morning coffee.
