    Then you awaken lost?

On a dirt road unfit for Swift trucks with a 12'2" train trestle approaching at your governed speed?

Good time for brown pants, I'd say! :)

    Sure.

But then, I really need to live up to the Swift expectations of all the other great non-Swift drivers on the road.
    Don't I?

Just trying to do my part.

Being able to sleep on demand anytime even after sleeping say 8 hours is not a good thing. I used to be able to do that and thought I was doing good. That what drivers are always told. Sleep while waiting to load or unload so your always rested and ready to drive !

You can't just go to sleep anytime unless your tired. Now that I have my Sleep Apnea fixed I can't sleep on demand anymore ! I have so much energy sleeping on demand is not an option. I can drive all day and do my full 14 hour day without a nap.

I started sleeping while loading and unloading thinking it was good. That what drivers are told to do. Later on I found I needed a naps then I needed 3 hour naps. Then I needed to sleep while loading and unloading.

Now I have a CPAP sleeping machine and I don't need naps annd can't sleep while loading or unloading. Their no need to, I can go 14+ hours without getting tired.

I hear cold showers before you start your drive clock, will work wonders. Drink plenty of water and keep your mind active

Sleep or amphetamines. Anything else just prolong the time until you run off the road or into oncoming traffic

I run regional, and sometimes when i leave early for a run, just before dawn i get very sleepy but then once the sun is up im good for the rest of my 14.

Ive found that when im real tired, if im not in a place that i can get out and walk around, i sing. I put on music that i KNOW and i just jam out. It doesnt matter what it sounds like or if i look like a fool, I'm alone and generally its dark as well lol
