I'm up here fairly regularly. There's a huge Menards distribution center that I deliver to every 3-4 weeks.

Ladies and gentlemen, I have a couple announcements! Unfortunately I have to keep running at the moment, and it's going to be a very long post, so I'll have to do it at the end of my day. But stay tuned, good stuff coming later tonight
PizzaGuy805, chi-town joe and DRAGON64 Thank this. -
Alrighty, finally parked and settled in. As promised, I have announcements. Sorry for the long post, I'll try not to drag on. First, I found out this morning that I had an incognito VIP follower and didn't even know it. Apparently he's been following for a while now. It's none other than David Millis, the company president. So here's how my morning went....Opie sent me to snag a trailer, then assigned me a run. Then I get another message. "Stop in to the Black River Falls yard before you pick up the load. Personnel wants to speak to you." Now, Opie told me it was nothing bad. To his credit, he's never led me wrong, but the Oh S...! alarm was going off in my head. When I got there, I met Reid in personnel. Really nice guy, for sure. We made a little small talk, then he asked me "Ummm...have you been writing about Millis online?" Uh oh... I said yes, and then a very surreal conversation happened. Turns out, a driver clued them into my threads (which I figured would happen eventually). Then, David walked in and introduced himself and sat down. Both of them asked a few questions, and I answered. Turns out, they are HAPPY with me posting here! They feel that more people these days are getting info from sites like this one than from advertising. They were apparently looking for a way to reach out to folks and get the company name out there. He said the he was looking for something like this to show an honest and detailed account of school, training, etc. And, he wants the good and bad of everything. That blew my mind. This was the first time I met him, and couldn't have been more impressed with him. They are going to be pulling me back in to the office at some point to go over different aspects of the company with me so that I can write about them. How cool is that?!? Their open-mindedness and forward thinking just completely floored me. So, in the interest of trying to do as he requested, I started a new thread, "My life with Millis". I will be posting as often as I can with details of how my day went, issues I ran into, etc. Questions there are welcome, I'll do my best to answer everything to the best of my ability. As always, other drivers are more than welcome to chime in. I think I'll eventually get my own address and site going once I meet with them again and work through a couple ideas. It's their wish to be able to send people to an address that does what I'm going to do in my next thread. But, instead of trying to send someone here and hunt for me, they can just send them to and address that is specific to them. My gears have been turning all day, coming up with some good ideas. Definitely looking forward to meeting with them again, this is going to be fun! I didn't have a very productive day today (only 300 miles
). But this was far and away the most positive experience I've had since I've been here. And that's saying something, because I've had some really good ones up til now. So welcome to the fray, Mr. Millis
I hope you like what you see, and I look forward, very much, to meeting with you and Reid again. And hopefully all of you fine folks who have been following along will come to the new one. And, to the website when it happens
Well, that's everything. There's a Buffalo Wild Wings across the way, and it's calling my name. Time to grab some teriyaki wings and a cold...pop lol. Peace y'all have a fantastic evening, and thanks as always for following. I'm gonna go enjoy this feeling!
StormyTrucker, FalconsFan21, Pintlehook and 4 others Thank this. -
