One blemish on MVR may prevent my return

    I disagree. I worked for a company that governed their trucks at 60 (because it's a Michigan company and that's the statewide maximum truck speed limit) and I love elogs. Being a "slacker" is personal and probably something one brings to the table; it is not something a company turns you into.

    I used to be a state traffic officer in another life and I can say it is very difficult to show you were not largely - if not totally - at fault in a rear end collision. The question will always be, "Why were you following so close?" And there really isn't a good answer.

    In the trucking business, the outcome can be both expensive and tragic; that's why there is no such thing as a 'minor' rear ended collision and why they are frowned upon, even if it happened in a POV.
