If it was me and I noticed that those cars were that far beyond the line, I would had stopped right in the middle of the intersection, and wait until they backed up behind the line.

Dude, one of the things about trucking is being able to know weather or not you can fit that beast into a spot, or make a turn etc. BEFOREHAND. The fact the cars were over the safety line (whatever that means) should have tipped you off. And in the same day ? Yikes.....Not good. You can still drive, but not for a long time. (professionally)

I must be in the only aggregate supply company (yes, dump trucks, all kinds) that does check records, drug tests, and all that good stuff. Apparently, like everyone says, its easy to get a job having a poor record or being a drug addict as long as its dump truckin

To be blunt, its time to give up on the driving and go do something else. Put it this way, if you owned a $150,000 rig and you had the choice between a driver with experience, no accidents, no tickets or a driver with 6 months experience and 2 accidents, who would you choose to drive your truck. You know the answer. You are asking a trucking company and its insurance company to make a decision that you yourself knows makes no sense.

Wasn't at you personally, I just see it all the time on this board. Whenever someone has a problem with their record and cant get on at the OTR companies, driving a dump truck is always the sugguestion. Just wonder why that is or if its just different in other parts of the country.

Around my neck of the woods, dump operators are usually smaller companies that tend to not check DAC reports etc.

I should have just said small local company rather than dump.

    I take your point.
