Try Hwy 400 from Toronto to Barrie sometime in a snow storm. Almost everyone uses the center lane but there's always a couple in the granny and hammer lanes pacing them. Not much you can do except sit back and go with the flow. Thankfully it's only about a 30 mile stretch.
One lane at a time

I would say that if you wanted to pass someone who was out of what should be their lane because they're trying to keep their rubber on the "trail", same rules apply as in good weather. Just flash your lights, if that doesn't work, short pull your airhorn, if that doesn't work... i guess you're stuck...?! You can only do so much. Just make darn sure you really think it's safe to pass. More often than not, if someone won't get out of your way, they have good reason.

Oh heck....I'm guilty of being in the middle of the road. Last year across I-94 coming out of MT and into ND me and another truck all alone. I was lead truck and pushing snow he was just following in my tracks...stop for some coffee in Bismark and a State Trooper told us the road was closed....well got bad news for him we just reopened it.

And I just thought they did that to annoy me!!! LOL It bugs me to no end when people drive in the middle like that and do know where the road is. And they do it every where, not just in WI or MI.
Some folks just should not drive in white stuff.
