Seat belt tickets would not appear on my csa as I got them in my own vehicle. At one point I had three it was never an issue at anywhere I applied. The speeding ticket however is. It was speeding over limit, I got clocked doing 71 in a 65. Again I was in my own vehicle. My cdl state is California but I'm considering moving to Oregon. I have never been cited or pulled over in a commercial truck and I have no accidents or dui s ever. As far as the courier work is concerned I'd need to make 400 or more a week to make the trucking worth doing

I am sure you'll make at least $400 a week in trucking but the question is do you want to? At least you're home each night to see your wife and kids with the courier gig. Just some food for thought. Do you live around Los Angeles?

Two seat belt tickets raises a big red flag - and that is that you never wear your seat belt. I'd pass on employing you as well. Because if you can't handle doing the little things that are entirely under your control, how can you be trusted with the big things?

Oh please, seat belt laws just like red light cameras are unethical laws to begin with. It should be my choice if i want to wear a seat belt just like a motorcycle helmet.

I'm entirely sure you'd never be placed in a position to hire or recruit anyone for anything short of Internet trolling.

At the time of those violations I was exceedingly poor and my courier vehicle had no working ac or driver side seatbelts. I also drove upwards of 325 miles a day in california. It was bound to catch up with me I guess. The point is that it's never been an issue and I'm much more concerned with the speeding ticket than I am with minor violations like those...

amen. And to answer your question, I'm only making about 320 after taxes a week with my courier business. Things used to be better but a couple route got consolidated and now I'm feeling the effects. I would definitely miss my family but at the end of the day if I can make significantly more money it'll be worth it for everyone...

That seatbelt law is just a money grab for the state. You should have a choice if you want to wear it or it and for it to add 7 points on your csa score is a joke especially when more serious infractions are only 4.No Wonder why people are getting out of this industry.

The people I'm leased to now has a rule. You get a seatbelt ticket and your lease gets canned. Same for using a hand held mobile and going down the road..
