Looks all to easy to get a handle in the crotch. Maybe they were lucky.

In my mind it'd be a waste of my time and fuel to haul who knows how much gravel back. Its like if I was to put 6 cylinder kits in an engine and not get paid, so I sneak into the guy's yard at night and put his old cylinders back into the engine.

I've heard of a guy who didn't get paid for an asphalt job. After a couple months he started moving in a cat, trackhoe and loader to take his asphalt back. The customer then promptly paid him!

Sometimes you gotta put the fear of God in them, or the fear of serious mess whatever.

I would say he had nothing to lose and he probably lives in his state that doesn't prosecute the subcontractor who doesn't get paid. Good times I hope it worked for him

How can you say he had nothing to lose when the whole point of this was that he was losing money? He made it really obvious that he had outstanding invoices that had not been paid.

But at this point what's another load. Gravel is cheap considering. If that works it was only one extra load.

I know an asphalt contractor here that did the same thing.

Also, my buddy had a septic business and offered to return a customer's load for nonpayment.

Everyone keeps thinking that is nice gravel but it could be crappy sand from another job and instead of hauling it all the way to a pit he is teaching him a lesson and getting paid and maybe even saving fuel if the pit to dump is farther than this location.

In this industry people get screwed over so much maybe it was just one to many for this guy.
