Allaby, could you tell another "newbie" who would be a good company to lease with today? I have my own truck and stepdeck . . . both are less than 2 years old.

Well, after reading this, I'm thinking it might not be so easy to get on with landstar... Got started with a recruiter this morning...
-
It is not easy to get on with LS. Never has been and never will be. Last I heard they only hire 2 out of every 100 that call and 3 out of every 100 that actually apply.
-
That's what I heard today. Time to make a new plan A I guess.
-
Do you not meet the minimum qualifications?
-
All but hazmat. Have hometime scheduled for next week to get that started.
-
Is the reason that 98% don't get hired because they don't meet LS requirements? If so, maybe they'll let me on when I get my hazmat.
-
Yep. BTW, those are the minimums. They are picky.
-
My husband and I are both hazmat drivers- he has a year farming experience and otr experience, but i only have 6mo otr fleet experience> do you think they would count that as qualifying sense we're a team? I asked for more information today, should I wait> were great with business and self motivation, live in our current truck, and have no kids or family> how long do we really have to bite this company bullet?!
