The other poster is right. All Coke does is give dates. They will say terminated, but that's all. They don't give reasons. They can't. Just keep looking local. You'll find something. Try Pepsi. :biggrin_25519:

If you have been unemployed for a year and you have a CDL it your fault !!!

It sounds to me like it is time for you to admit the truth to yourself.......you are not cut out to make it in trucking . No big deal some do some don't and some can and some can't .

Just do yourself a favor and start your new career soon

they put down workplace violence as the reason.yes..in hindsight,i should,ve gone to my supervisor but my anger took over and wasn,t thinking straight lol. like i said..i owned up to what i did. but don,t think what actually happened is workplace violence. even the other driver agreed when i told them.oh well. i learned from the mistake. but its a shame that i,m still paying for it a year later.

anyone has the right to badmouth. some won't though becuase who wants to answer calls forever while that guy is looiking for a new job.

here in utah though. it's a really common problem as we're a right to work state.

you could file a lawsuit. and you already know the timeframe as you state a union lawyer. meaning you shoulda started the ball roling from day one.

and since your union. your limited ot union options i'm guessing. makes it hard for a lot of reason. not many want to hire a union boy. and there aren't that many union jobs anyways.

in my home state. i'm aware of only one trucking company that is union. and they are construction. my brother is union. and he spends more time at home then actually having a job.

thanx snowwy..i understand what ur saying. unions are not the strong for an individual but as a whole. i hated going thru the strike process 'cause it always ends pretty much in companies favor. but it was a job i enjoyed. i,m applying to all driving jobs whether union or not.i just can,t beleive all the time wasted in this process i,m been thru. union has always told me i would get my job back and in the next sentence say but you can nevver tell. lol.beleive me..this has been a humbling and learning process.

There are to many driving jobs out there to be sitting at home. Just be honest with every employer, take responsibility for your actions and apply with every company hiring within your home area. You are saying your from CA so that means just about everybody is hiring in your area right now. After a year off you might need to take a mega carrier offer or go with some not so good company, but it's money and experience. Good luck.

I sympathize with your issue dptrucker, its very unfortunate but you got into a physical altercation with another employee which is workplace violence. Workplace violence can even be considered raising your voice, leading other ppl to believe that you were screaming and ultimately depending on what you say and/or how the witnesses take it. It's F'd up but it protects ppl from abusive employers. Good luck. Hope u find a job soon.
