My company truck has it. Only had one time in the last 5 months where it threw the brakes on hard. I drive like I’m supposed to so I don’t get too many alerts.
I do like the radar display. Darn near every truck that passes pulls in front only 50-60 feet ahead of me. That’s just ridiculous and not even one truck length.

The day cab I drove at Schneiser had it.
The stack of bridges where the 10 goes over the 17, and goes every which way would set it off when I was on 17.
0200, not a soul around, and it would dang near throw me through the windshield. Applied full brakes, and Jakes for like 2 seconds.
Good thing no one was behind me when this happened.
Now Schneiser definitely does some stuff on the cheap to say the least. So I don't know if the technology has improved, or there's different ones.
Truck 2 has it, and he's never said a word about it. -
Straight into the ground.D.Tibbitt, truckdriver31 and JoeyJunk Thank this.

I think the technology improved. I also wonder if the carrier can set parameters making it more dangerous than it needs to be. Mine doesn’t pick up bridges or far away objects. Works pretty good IMO.D.Tibbitt and Dave_in_AZ Thank this.

D.Tibbitt Thanks this. -
That's because if you try to actually wait for a full truck length, some ###### 4 wheeler will pass on the right. I try to give as much room as possible after a pass but these fat ####s are in too big of a hurry to get that next cheeseburger.Midwest Trucker Thanks this.

My truck did the emergency braking for phantom vehicles a lot more the first year I had it and less and less over time.
