Ok so Ive been doing a bit of research and am going to register soon. Online schooling has become normal in the business world and if you go thru a community college or university the diploma does not even mention it was taken online. There are free websites to help you regain the math/science/writing skills that we all had in HS. Kahn Academy seems to be the best and is widely used and recommended. You will need to find out what placement test the community college you choose uses and practice/study for it, otherwise you will need to take remedial classes, which actually may not be such a bad thing anyway.

If you want to get a bachelors degree you need to decide on a university and make sure your community college classes will transfer. In NC they have a standardized community college system so its straight forward as to the classes that will transfer to any of the University of North Carolina campuses. Many degrees can be taken entirely online and some will need for you to complete a "lab" portion at the school. Some tests, I believe need to be "proctored" so you will need to have someone watch you to be sure you are following the rules. They have proctors at local libraries and colleges across the country.

Anyone know of any "audio classes" or something that might give me an edge that I can listen to while driving?

There are audio classes available. There is one service, I think it's called "Great Courses" it is from all different types of professors and won't be your specific one. Lectures are just one of us tools professors use though.

I just read the lessons and look up what I don't know or understand. If I am still having trouble I schedule office hours with the professor. Online classes are extremely heavy in writing and you will be doing a lot of that. I have taken many classes, most actually, that have no test at all. You write essays or do projects, usually PowerPoint.

I'll be done with my 4 year degree this year and I have done all the work from my sleeper. It takes discipline and a routine.

Don't forget to CLEP as many classes as possible.

This is my second degree. I went the original brick and mortar way the first time. Online is easier for me because I am good at self scheduling. I think most truckers would be good at that.

It's a test that allows you to skip classes. Essentially it is the final exam for a college course. Usually only for Gen Ed or other basic classes. The test aren't easy and they cost 80 bucks a pop and you can usually take them at a local community college. My school only allowed 30 non traditional credits and CLEP is considered that. I took as many as I could though. You can knock out an entire course in 2 hours.
