Actually who cares what the terminal is like? You're only there for orientation, then you get a trainer or you wait at the hotel until one picks you up.

Canada isnt a bad place to go. The canada hotline will walk you threw everything you need to do. When you get the load information on the MCT, it will be overwhelming, but its not bad at all. I really enjoyed going to canada, it was my first time ever leaving the states.

Any advice for starting with Werner? I'm going to a truck driving school at my own expense and I already have a Pre-Approval Hire with Werner. I also have a few questions about my trainer. How long will I be with a trainer before I get my own truck? (Not trying to say I don't need training or anything just curious). Also, I'm a non-smoker can I ask for my trainer to be a non-smoker as well? And, what is the home time like? Do they work with you pretty good about getting home?
Thanks -
You will be with a trainer for 300+ plus hours of driving. They will be very selective for your trainer, they will ask if you smoke or not....that is the selective process of picking a trainer for you.lol.While you are with the driver, unless you live in the same area as your trainer and trainer gets you home, you will not be getting home while training. The trainer will put you up in a motel while he goes home. You have the option at the half way point of being routed home for a week.you lose your $500.00 bonus and when you come back you have to get another trainer.

I'll stay out the whole time. Just want to get it done. Plus. 500 will come in handy. After you to your 300 what happens? Do you test out and get your own truck then go home? And if so, how long do you get at home?
