Ooooohh...i HATE taking the bus....

My hubby went from Georgia all the way out to Phoeniz, AZ. He really enjoyed the ride out, for him it was a lot to see as he has never really seen the Plains. He hated the lay-overs in the big cities. Everytime he called, he would complain about the cigarette bums!

He got to ride back with another student going to AL so it was nice for him. They bonded really well. That other student went through orientation with him and now they are both with mentors that haul dedicated trips out of the same town in AL. If ya get stuck riding back make sure you don't get in the back, hubby said it was awful when the sewage tank started getting filled. OH YEAH---MAKE SURE YOU CALL THE SHUTTLE 10 HOURS(ok so Im exaggerating a little bit) AHEAD OF TIME TO TAKE YOU TO THE STATION, hubby called 5 hours in advance and the shuttle came 5 minutes before his departure. The bus station was an hour away, needless to say he ended up staying an extra night.

I just recently took the grey dog from Tacoma, WA to Cleveland, OH.

 

I'll take the bus fare and put it in the tank of the car or bike and go myself! I don't play well with others as riding a bus is like teaming! No showers and they can't even figure out how to go to the restroom of a stop and wet towel off! Then you have the smokers! OH GOD how they stink! WORSE that no showers for 2 days!

 

I will NEVER ride a Greyhound or any public transit bus again. I will rent a car or fly.

I went to orientation in Gary In. from Raleigh NC. they flew me there and when i did not make it they bused me home i got on the bus in Hammon IN. at 5:45pm on a mon. and was on the bus until 6:20pm on tue. 24 hours on a bus not fun at all. I have another orientation coming up but it's only three hours away from home so i said that i will drive, i don't want to get back on a bus anytime soon, plus the will reinburst me the gas i use.
