I've seen a few videos of it happening here. I know of a spot on I-90 in South Dakota where somebody put an excavator boom through an overpass and another where they caught a beam and "tweaked" it a bit. I know a guy who left the auger up on a feed truck and clipped a power line, didn't tear it down but it was jumping real good apparently. It does happen here and not just by immigrants.

 

Glad nobody was hurt, that's the important thing. Must've been scary as hell when it hit the bridge, it must've sounded like a bomb going off when it hit I can't even imagine the sound it made upon impact.

I wouldn't be surprised if there were criminal charges in this case. Destruction of state property seems nearly appropriate. Be interesting to hear what the engineers say looking at this.
