I was driving into Wyoming a few weeks ago and got into the PoE at the same time as another flatbed that had a pallet twisting and basically no securement. After the paperwork check I came back out and I told him his load was shifting. He didn't have a winch bar or anything for flatbedding. I ended up doing extra securement for him and telling him that it's not just his problem if his #### falls off the trailer. It could kill somebody.

    Be careful out there.

You’ve hauled one load and aren’t even a driver. Gtfoh.

That's what happens in the high wind areas when you don't use cleats at the bottom of the piece.

There were three pieces on that trailer, and the one that fell over was the one in the center of the load

I certainly don’t know exactly what happened, but it’s about 12’ tall and 3’ wide. Probably weighs no more than 2500 pounds. They aren’t made out of much and you can’t put the man to the straps and you can only strap it in about two spots without damaging it. Add to that a high side wind and it doesn’t take much.

The winds were gusting to 65 mph in that area so that is a distinct possibility, but it wouldn’t explain why the other two didn’t fall off as well…

The one on the back is wider. Probably has more mass as well. I can’t see the other one but I suspect it’s the same.
