No, what I disagree with is the assumption that this guy did something wrong. He may have or he may not have. It could have been any number of things that went wrong. We just don’t know.
Then to compare his load that he hauled one time a year ago to the load in question is ludicrous. It’s not even in the same category. The load he hauled was easier to secure than a load of shingles. Some of this freight you have to get rather creative and you can’t just throw a strap every 10 feet.
Oops.. a bit of a load securement issue

Maybe I should have posted the 15 piece load I hauled instead? Or maybe a couple of the other ones?

If you don't like me or what I post, feel free to hit that ignore button. Won't hurt my feelings. I'm not particularly fond of you either.
CassND Thanks this. -

Guess who gets to go lift that piece in 50 mph winds... Should be fun and exciting.
IH Truck Guy, Jubal Early Times and The Railsplitter Thank this. -
The thing is… he DID do something wrong. If he did everything right, it wouldn’t be laying in a ditch.
Sure you can blame a strap that broke, or a gust of wind, or whatever else you like. However nothing changes the fact he messed up. -
But to jump to the conclusion of the cause and to almost revel in other’s misfortune really speaks volumes.gentleroger Thanks this. -
Strap breaks, its the driver fault. Wind blows, its the drivers fault, That what you're saying here?
Glad the DOT doesn't think like this, if there is no other vehicle involved, and sometimes if there is a another vehicle involved stuff happens.Jubal Early Times Thanks this.
