Open LLC first, before starting as an Owner Operator?

I may have misunderstood initially what you were asking but it doesn't really require writing a book anyway. It looks like you haven't even been around the industry long enough to even know what it is you are asking. Aging a corporation before you get your authority??? Do you mean buying an established MC? Neither one is necessary.

 

Well ok but here is the thing, there are people that claim what your buddy is claiming but those who issue insurance and loans look at more to see if there an llc or inc behind the name, many will ask to see activity, and in the insurance business, they will see if your company was ever issued insurance.

These things matter there is no way to work around them and they are all done for a specific reason - to protect their involvement with your business.
