I quoted you about pulling $1.00 per mile freight. I was trying to point out that you have options. I have no idea what you got butt hurt over. Happy trails

well, bub.....here's the hard truth. Most of us have been doing this for a while so we know a couple of things:
    A. you're full of crap and a liar or,
    B. you run heavy haul or specialized
    C. you sit a lot

Or all of the above. Look man, we all know what the rates are and we also know that you don't have a "connection" that lets you run full out for north of $2.50 a mile.
You're full of it. Post statements or you're a liar.

    lynchy and TTNJ Thank this.

Yes. This includes a hypothetical "1099" driver pay at 45c a mile (low). If I were more strict; a payroll tax plus workers comp could bring it up higher. Not sure how much...I dont know workers comp rates in Illinois. I would not be surprised, if all these included, plus health insurance coverage for a driver, would bring it up over 2 dollars per mile.
And this is what a legitimate(per IRS standard)carrier hiring people have to face just to cover costs...but what about dispatch people, parking/office/warehouse rent...it can go up to 3 dollars per mile. Costs Impossible to cope with on the spot market alone.

People will only do what society ALLOWS them to do...
If its Legal, People of some form,Will do it.

"Im gonna get my authority,But know nothing about running a business" ....Has been the motto the last 15-20 years....

If drinking and driving was legal- The Dumbed down Human Race will do it and Get Darwins by the thousands every week.....

Again, People will Do what they Can Get away with- Never thinking things through.

Perhaps, this is why so many carriers hire so much labour from underdeveloped countries ...maybe their contracts dont have any health insurance nor workers comp requirements. Perhaps they pay them 15 c a mile and this is how they manage to stay afloat.
