I have used that stuff. It seems to work for the application I used it in. (Chevy truck audio instal). I was worried about the smell but none present. Been in the truck for 3 years now.

You can also look into FatMat 80 mil rolls. Not sure how the price compares to Wirez but it's way cheaper than DynaMat and has great reviews. Amazon.com: FatMat Self-Adhesive RattleTrap Sound Deadener Bulk Pack with Install Kit - 50 Sq Ft x 80 mil Thick: Automotive

Very cool thread, thanks for starting it and keeping it updated.

Finished cabinet install, A pillars done, kick panels and thresholds, started the dash. Did lots of sound deadner and foam on back of the panels where it would fit. Took awhile but I don't want to miss anything. It's apart might as well do it all.
Also Installed Bluetooth microphone.Attached Files:

Forgot take pics after the finishing touches. To excited to take it for a ride. Still need to find a couple seats I like and the cash to buy them.
The difference in sound is AMAZING. I still have a few rattles from the cabinets over bumps but the difference in engine and road noise is 1000% better. The truck actually feels like it rides smoother, I know it doesn't, but the lack of noise and all the rattling made it seem so. No more earplugs required for sure and I'm sure it's quieter than my Volvo 780 was and that's saying something. In the future the cabinets will be dealt with. Overall, definetly worth all the hard work and $$$.God prefers Diesels, Rideandrepair, 99kw900 and 12 others Thank this.
