Ok from a true technical stand point. Copper does radiate better than most materials. Now if his design is sound and the coil is proper length and the spacing is right between the two parts that form the coil it should theoretically be a sound antenna design. Now 30,000 lets see 4 is legal in CB world and even if you run an average amp at say 500 watts most regular antennas will hold that. Now as far as talk 2x as far as a store bought it would be hard to prove or disprove that statement i would rather see him quote some DBI figure than talk about how far it will talk. Since DBI is DB gain in a vacume i never could figure that out any way. But over all its not a bad design i made some on the same design years ago and they worked well on 10 Meters where i designed them for i could work the USB and fm part of 10 meter with one antenna so it did what i wanted made it real broad banded. But then again like my old elmer allways said. " a all band antenna works equally poorly on all bands."
Opinions on this antenna
