    Your buddy might be generating 3500 to 4000 a week in revenue to the truck, but then he has his costs that come out of that.

    Then you can learn on his dime and find out if you like dump work ....

    I do have start up money. My personal savings. It is not much a little under 20K.

    It's not really enough... you will have a really hard time getting insurance with no experience on your cdl, and new authority.

    You need to keep payments low doing dump work. To survive to slow periods. Drive someone else's truck doing the kind of work you think you want to do....save up some more.
