You are the man 062. I couldn't find that because I didn't have the name right. They picked right up and answered all my questions. I don't need a pin or account number, just do get a temp permit by phone with a credit card. Can't do that until Tuesday though due to wildfire closure.
I learned a lot.

I run trucks out of Oregon every week. Plenty of good freight going all over. You just have to know who to talk to. Most good loads out of Oregon don’t hit the load boards. I have 2 trucks that are on a dedicated back and forth to Phoenix from Oregon. Those loads are never posted. It also helps that I have a brokerage with a lot of customers out of Oregon.

Oregon to phoenix.. What do u take back out of phoenix if u dont mind me asking? dh out to cali?

Truss plates and garage doors out of Phoenix/ surprise coming back into Oregon or Washington

How many trucks did you have when you made an agreement with your first dedicated customer?

1 truck. But I was in Phoenix every Monday and always delivered on time with a smile. It also helped that I run curtain vans. Everyone want their loads tarped and they knew when I loaded it would alway be weather protected. im not the only truck that loads at these places either but they always have loads for me every week like clockwork.

You remind me of a local trucking company owner, runs over 100 trucks now.
I knew him 30 years ago, when he had one truck. He would go down and park at one of the local shippers on Monday morning, and let them know he was there if they needed him. Most days, they'd get an order in, and someone would walk to his truck and tell him to pull up so they could load him. He'd get there and deliver with a smile, and do it all over as soon as he got back.
That load would not hit a board, even today. And nobody was calling around for the best price, either.shanman Thanks this. -
I’m not sure I want to deal with 100 trucks but I have 7 now. 2 that I own and 5 that are O/O’s that I get a percentage off of. When I first started trucking I had a weekly load that went to Phoenix. I had nothing out of there but was alway there Monday. I got a load off the load board one day and they asked if I was in PHX every week and if I was call them. Well I was and I got the load. And still do. They keep 2 of my trucks busy year round. Consistency that’s what built my business and sustains it. And it all started because my eagerness and attitude.
