I registered my logistics company with the state of North Carolina, I was told there are some restrictions with Oregon and HUT and other logistics straying away from that state. Can someone offer their advise on this matter, whether there's any truth to it and is it work taking loads go in and out of Oregon. TIA!

Their fuel tax setup is nuts. It's enough to keep a lot of small operators out of there unless they are based in the west and have to go through there.

Basically if you are just going to run through there on occasion you call and get a permit for each trip. You pay your fuel tax mileage rate up front over the phone by CC. If you wind up going there a lot they make you set up with an expensive bond or something and you have to pay in monthly I think. Maybe @SteveScott or one of the other NW O/O's will chime in with more.

I had a lot of questions about this early on too but never got many answers here. Pretty much the best thing I did was call the POE in Oregon and ask them what to do.

    SteveScott Thanks this.
