I applied because I know I am qualified, been driving 18 years. But I can no longer lift weight up over my head. I struggled with the 40 lb weight with USXpress, barely made it up onto that shelf. So, yes, that part of the physical is a concern to me.

Is this a pet friendly company?I saw an ad on craigslist that said they were, but nothing on the site.
The physical,as for any company can vary.I had a very strenuous physical for my current job.I have
had days far rougher than that day completing my physical. My loads vary, and summertime is brutal
if you have to unload in S.E. heat.
    I don't mind touch freight,but cannot stand driving a P.O.S. TRUCK:biggrin_25513:

Been here 4 months now, I've only touched freight once. That was a spilled pallet of soda.

Pet friendly? Kinda.... $700 deposit taken at $50/week. Otherwise, yes they are pet friendly.

POS truck? Nope. Been in the shop once for a bad brake sensor. Now I wish they had APU's and swivel seats, but other than that (and a 13 spd instead of a 10) the rigs are spec'd just about what I'd select. My 1st (and only rig) is a 2012 Cascadia. Oh and I hate the OnGuard system, but you can deal with it. My average fuel milage over the past 2 months has been 7.1 including summer idle.

Last year I had to restack soda also. It was a Coke load and Coke loaded it, I put load straps around the last pallets, and a pallet in the nose tipped over. Not my fault, but I was picking it up because the Coke distributor in St. Joseph, MO, was union and they said they didn't hand touch freight. Total bunch of ##=hats!

Yes they are pet friendly (except reefer) $750 non refundable deposit. Cat or dog, dogs have to be under 40 lbs and cant be a aggresive breed. It's listed on one of their websites.

He may have, but he must have been mistaken. Easy mix up I'm sure. Give him a call to double check or speak with another recruiter.

You MUST be Blind ... It is plastered all over the Interstate Website that they are Pet Friendly .. and they are. They even have pet areas with grass, fake fire hydrant and one terminal even has 2 kennels for pets.

Kinda hard to complain about a truck that someone else owns ...

I drive a 2008 Long Nose Peterbilt and I average 7.01 mpg with over 20% idle time the last 105k miles .... There is nothing aerodynamic about my truck.

OK, to answer the question about orientation and a physical test. YES! There is a physical ability test. You need to do the climb a ladder 3 times, lift a 25 and 50 lb. (I'm not sure about the weights. I really wasn't paying attention. They were heavy, but not unmanageable), box from the floor to a shelf at waist height and then over your head three times each. There was also a push/pull test of like 105 lbs. Nothing hard, and I don't think anyone in my orientation class of 12 failed any of it.
