Orentation and Trainer Time

I think the fact that TD was driving under duress alone should be sufficient grounds to be retained by Swift. It's the intimidation by the trainer and fear for his own safety that made him say what ever he had to in order to get off the truck.

He should tell Driver Services what went down, even if he has no intention of continuing his training.

If he doesn't, with my luck, I'll end up with this asteroid orifice for a trainer.

 

My opinion (for what its worth since I have only been a right seat and that was 20+ years ago) is 1) take a breath 2) get some rest - if you can let your mind stop spinning 3) face tomorrow rested and in a positive frame of mind.

From reading here - YOU DID THE RIGHT THING!! You have NOT given up. You are wanting to be TRAINED not used. You will be OK...

 

TD try not to worry. Do like most here have suggested, try to relax, get some rest, and start tomorrow with a positive state of mind. Things like this happen, you did the right thing. From what I have read here on the forum sometimes people just don't get the right trainer, some personalities just don't mesh well. Swift shouldn't have a problem getting you with another trainer. This isn't the end of the world, you can and WILL get thru this. Hang in there!

 

WTF? Are you kidding me, 'dragon?!! After all that BS you say you went through, you want to get back on his truck? If you do, then you deserve every bit of the crap he will dish out to you! Also, the company will believe what the trainer tells them and NOTHING that you tell them, if you get back on that truck on your own free will.
I am starting to think that there may be more to this than the trainer.
