I've been following this thread for a while now, hoping the situation would improve. Since it didn't, TD, you did what you had to do. You aren't responsible for the actions of others. He set his path, and will have to either fix it or suffer the results of it himself. You are taking control of your path. Be proud of that. And Albuquerque is a great place to be stuck in for a little while. I'm there quite a bit. Not now, but if I was, I'd buy you a cup of coffee.
Injun, I know exactly where you're coming from. I retired two years ago from the fire service. We're not all cut from the same mold, and that's a very good thing.

) I might explore a little then. but for now, im awake, trying to figure out what to do when someone is here, I should sleep but I wont be able to, I know me
Klingon Thanks this. -
You sound like your a good kid don't beat yourself up for doing what is right. Alot of people refuse to do what's right be proud of yourself!
-
If you're going to explore, east on Menaul Blvd (past the 7-11) is the way to go. There is a bunch of stores about 3/4 mile up the road - a bit of a hike - including a WalMart.
Good luck TD - you got off the truck for the right reasons. Its unfortunate, but there are trainers who are into it only for the aspect of cheap labor - not instructing a new driver. -
heh ill only be exploring whatevers near a hotel room.
-
Hey TD how old are you bro?
-
Isn't that the area right past the TA? Werner has a dropyard next to the TA and Mesa CB Shop. I believe it was on that road but I have only been there once over the years with them. -

Well, Talked to my DM and she is mad I got off the truck without callign her first, apparently I was supposed to leave her a message in the middle of the night while in a restroom or some such. And now her "first concern is figureing out how to get me back to Denver" And then I have to make a written statement, and apparently doing what I did, was...oh how did she put it "Telling me that you are quitting swift" because I did not "give her a chance to get me to a place it was safe to get me off the truck" I feel that my concerns were 'not good enough' and she is mad because I 'had time to talk to other drivers and this jim guy' but not her. -sighs- I screwed up, and now I gotta give a written statement and such, she is going to 'review it' and decide what to do from there...

Make sure you make it clear to her that you didn't feel safe in that truck, and that all of the personal stuff was secondary to anything business. It is time to put it all down in writing. Everything. Including the racial and bigoted comments. Normally, I would recommend to leave that stuff out, but since she is taking that sort of approach, you need to do what is best for you. Don't worry about that piece of #### that threatened you about his career and all that...he won't have time to worry about you when he is getting demoted to driver again.
MAKE SURE YOU KEEP anything Swift gives you regarding this. Also, keep your hotel receipt and anything else you have that would be able to not only prove this to Swift, BUT TO PROTECT YOUR DAC if they decide to go that route. (I HIGHLY doubt they will)
You made the right decision, even if it doesn't seem like it now.The Challenger and Injun Thank this.
