Too much to learn.
As for todays update, once again my trainer shows me that he desires to train. As I said he is o/o so he eats all costs. We had a day of down time today, so what did he do? Well, last night he idled the truck to keep us warm (his fuel) then he drove me to a abandon lot, (his fuel) and taught me some backing/docking for about 6 hours. All on his dime and his time. He did not have to do that, he wanted to. -
Sounds like you got one of the really good ones, one of the ones that wants to put drivers on the road that he would trust driving around his hometown. I am so glad tha you are getting this experience after the horrible ordeal you went through with the last guy.The Challenger Thanks this. -

Of course, I do!
I mentioned it, and later offered to buy him lunch and he refused to let me pay. So I told him that I felt bad and wanted to do somthing and he said "All i ask is that you listen, learn, and do your best."
I really dont know what to say to that -
The one thing I would add from my experience is that if the trainer is not doing a good job or even if you and they do not "click" you need to say something about it early. If you fail the check ride after training they are going to interpret any criticism you make at that time as throwing him under the bus for your failure.
If you are "getting it" and the guy's just a nitwit then hold your nose and finish shoveling the barn. -
In regards to the oatmeal, the water was room temperature.
