Again...this is America if I want to tell you you're wrong I can, but I will take the higher road and apologize, didn't realize this was in a forum for a specific company.

And the fact you give road tests means nothing to me. Why are you so arrogant that no one can tell you are wrong? What makes you so special?

A trainer/road tester for US Xpress answering questions about the road test at US Xpress... Yeah, what a jerk bra. Shut up Vinsanity, this is America!!!

Was looking over the orientation info my recruiter sent me and saw that USX offers half price hotel rooms if you don't want to share a room, $29 a night, Debating now whether or not a should pony up about $100 for my own room for the 3 nights. Biggest thing is I just cannot sleep with somebody who snores, sorry can't do it, and so many darn people snore. I am driving my own vehicle to the hotel so I guess if I chose to share a room and I got a roommate who snores, I could sleep in my car lol. Slept in it a few times before.

I did it when I went to orientation. Took the wife with me, but we were only 80 miles from hotel/teeminal too

That's up to you. You might want to try your luck the first night, see if you're the "odd man out" and get a single, then buy one if you don't. Or just sleep the first night with the random guy and maybe he won't be so bad. Hopefully you get a double bed room, or at least a king so you don't have to be side by side.
Keep in mind that during the upgrade and waiting for a truck process, you'll be put up in a hotel too. Before you upgrade, you're in with orientation students again, but after upgrade, you get a single room automatically, unless you have a team mate.ASevenfold Thanks this. -
I'm only about 120 miles from the hotel junkie. Doubt the " odd man out " thing would work as I plan to get there kind of early ( 4pm or so ) so I can settle in and relax. Wouldn't mind all that much being put with students while I'm waiting to get my own truck after testing, at that time I'll probably be so giddy of finally being able to go out on my own lol.
Question if anyone knows, but if I have to wait an extra day or two for my trainer and I paid for my own room for the first 3 night of orientation ( Sun night, mon night, tues night ), would USX put me over into a room with a roommate if I choose not to pay for my own room anymore while I wait for trainer? I ask because I don't want to spend more on those extra nights, cash is already kinda tight.
