Actually rime DOES pay for orientation and they DO pay for your hotel room while IN orientation (3 days).

Notarps4me...I have a question for you...have you ever pulled a load for Prime or are you just a cynical person by nature? If there is EVER a comment on these forums about Prime, you chime in as the ambassador for negativity. If you have pulled for Prime, and were treated wrong in some way, then maybe I could understand...but if you havent worked for Prime, please tell me where your negativity comes from?

Ill bet you are one of the drivers at the TS restaurants sitting at the bar and poormouthing.

Notarps had a bad orientation experiance with a snafu picking up his truck. Its been explained a few times.

Im sure with his experiance he had certain expectations that were not met, followed by a pain in the ### truck recovery/pickup. Decided to cut his loss and move on.

He has a right to his opinion. But to answer your question, No, I dont believe he ever pulled a load for Prime.

Orientation has confused quite a few people. Prime has tried to streamline the process, so some classes are attended by everyone (new students all the way to experianced drivers) and other classes are specific.

Ive witnessed plenty of idiots at Orientation. First time during my first week as a student and then later at upgrade...

Number one issue.... someone who is trying to be first in line to pick out their truck from the available ones that week. Missing/Skipping classes thinking they can get the jump on everyone else. Thought process is that they can skip lunch at the hotel and take the shuttle over to the main building to start the process the first or second day, or even just preview the trucks and then finding out they cant and then fail to get back in time by either missing the shuttle or taking too much time.

#2... comparing schedules or losing their schedule and going by the schedule of the guy next to you (who maybe one of almost half a dozen different hire classifications sitting in a particular class). Everyone attends some classes altogether... other classes are attended by some classifications at a future date... like after training and upgrade. There is nothing more screwy than a student who wants to lease a truck and gets convinced by a New hire with experiance that if he doesnt attend a certain class he wont be able to lease a truck (even though that student/trainee will be able to take that class months later after training)

Sorry just saw this. Yes I ran for a month with them. That was part of my ranting jacked up communications. Got tired of dealing with them. Every load I pulled with them was jacked up. The one that really pushed me over the edge was the one where it said call plant for directions to make sure you have right plant. They had several plants down there close. Load was real close to being unable to meet for pick up time. Holiday weekend and I was going to be hung out without load. Was a thursday I think if I remember maybe friday.

I was close to not being able to meet pick up time. I had the hammer down and was on the phone with them. They said this load will not be ready to ship until tuesday??? I called prime as I did not want to stop. They transfered my call several times and finally some idiot said he just got off the phone with them yes the load is ready, but they will close soon. Better hurry. I hammered and got there about 15 minutes from deadline. They told me we told you this has to be painted first and they will not even paint it until monday. Load will be ready to ship on tuesday.

Every single load I dealt with had some jacked up issue. I got tired of dealing with incompetent people. Most jacked up outfit I ever pulled for. I am not a rookie. I started trucking back in the 80's and prime was the most jacked up co (OTR) I ever dealt with period! I have been with 8 trucking companies. I think I know a jacked up one when I see one.

No MR. 2 years of driving. I have about 2 years of going backwards. I been up and down the road a few times. I post good about good companies like maverick, mercer. I post jacked up about jacked up co's like prime. You are also not very good at betting or judging. Feel free to chime back in when you know what you are talking about.

Yup that's jacked up. Flatbed DIVISION has their own sales, load planners, dispatch and management SEPARATE from the rest of THE WHOLE FREAKIN' COMPANY. That's because flatbedding is so completely different from tankers and reefers.

So let's get real. You're beef is with FLATBED DIVISION.

Thank GOD I don't work for that JACKED UP PORTION of the company! If the reefer division operated like that, I wouldn't be working for Prime.

Seems to me like you had a run of bad luck. The thing is, like Ironpony said, you dealt with a DIVISION. Im not sure pulling for a month in flatbed and having some messed up loads is enough to crucify the whole company. Could SOME of your bad luck be YOUR fault? Prime isnt a multi-million dollar company because it is full of incompetent people. In fact, I havent found any (except for that one night dispatcher that didnt know he was alive).

So, you had a run of bad luck in your whole month you were there...that is NO reason to try to burn them down like you do. Move on, brother. Your incessant (look it up) crying and whining about Prime doesnt make Prime look bad, but it DOES make you look bad.

I tell it like it is. Don't like it? Put me on ignore. I try to warn others. Unlike you I don't just think of myself. Others will come along. Let them hear the pros and cons and decide for themselves. My reputation on here stands for itself. I don't give a flip what you or anyone else thinks of me.
