    Might go to work for averitt express.They say I will be home most weekends. Is this true? I live near their lawrenceville terminal in GA. I'm just trying to decide on which trucking company to go with and any feed back would be appreciated.

    Not trying to sound like a smart*** but a simple call to the company recruiter should answer your question. Why don't/didn't you call them? Orientation pay is something I've never been concerned with as I always have enough saved to float me while starting out with a new company. I would not base my decision on a company depending on the orientation pay.

    yes you get home every weekend,usually for a 34 or more depending on freight.$300.00 for orientation pay

    I have a buddy who works for averitt and he say they have a lot of LTL freight which means yes they can get you home but LTL means a lot of night driving if you like to drive at night then this will be a good company for you.
